The latest edition of Cosmoprof North America, the B2B trade show taking place on 9-11 July in Las Vegas, concluded this week with 30,000 registered attendees.

The trade show allowed exhibitors to build new business contacts with national and international distributors and buyers with a presence in the US, Mexico and Canada.

Companies such as Abril et Nature, Color Display, Lakmé Cosmetics, Maystar, Nirvel Cosmetics, Thuya, Termix, Dessata, Nuggela & Sulé, Cemsa, Quimiromar and Stanpa were present at the event organised by IBP Buyers.

Spanish perfumes and cosmetics are amongst the most popular for US consumers and beauty professionals. The sector exported goods worth over 208 million euros to North America in 2016, making the US Spain’s largest market outside the European Union and the fifth worldwide.

Perfumes are the main types of goods exported to the US, accounting for 63% of total exports followed by hair care with a 15% share, and cosmetics and personal care products with 11%.

The last edition of Cosmoprof North America hosted 1,015 exhibitors across 9 international pavilions and was visited by 30,000 people, of which 78% were from the US and 22% international.
