Sia unveils bold new Viva Glam lipstick for MAC

Sia has channelled her edgy style into a brand new lipstick for MAC.

The Australian singer-songwriter is the latest star to become a spokeswoman and design a lipstick for the cosmetic brand's ‘Viva Glam' collection, which helps to fund the MAC AIDS Fund.

‘Viva Glam Sia' is a rich, ruby hue that the brand calls "as loud as you dare to be." The lipstick, which will launch in 2018, comes in a contemporary red and black case, with the star's name printed in devilish scarlet lettering, as illustrated in a sneak peek published on the Mac Instagram account, accompanied by the caption: "Sia's soulful songwriting inspires countless fans to raise their own voices. Be heard -- and seen -- in VIVA GLAM Sia, coming 2018."

The Viva Glam collection has become known for its fundraising strategy, which benefits people diagnosed with HIV and AIDs, as well as for its high-profile celebrity collaborations. In fronting the latest campaign, Sia is following in the footsteps of stars including Miley Cyrus, Ariana Grande, Caitlyn Jenner, Pamela Anderson, Lady Gaga and Mary J. Blige.

It seems like barely a week goes by without the announcement of a star-studded makeup collection from MAC. The brand is currently preparing to drop upcoming collaborations with beauty influencer Patrick Starrr, jeweler Jade Jagger and hip-hop star Nicki Minaj, in addition to working on a secretive project with sportswear brand Puma.

The news comes hot off the launch of Sia's new holiday album, "Everyday is Christmas," which features 10 festive-themed tracks that dropped on November 17.
