Public School- Fashion show- WOMEN'S collection Autumn-Winter 2016/17 in New York (with interview)

Location: in a downtown gallery, a huge tree trunk enthroned in the middle of the scene Inspiration: New York and its residents with memories / revival of the 80’s/90’s with a rebellious edgeFabrics: wool, denim , green suede , silkFocus on: Denim with straight edges, sleeveless jackets, high-necked zipper parka Note: the contrasts between tailoring and streetwearInterview from Dao -Yi Chow & Maxwell Osborne:We were inspired by late 70’s early 80’s, the idea of New York City in certain areas especially the Bronx; the idea of lawlessness, so we took that into the collection. For us experimenting with the proportions between the different layers, creating volume is something that we enjoy doing. Our shape is always loose and pretty straight, so to get a bigger silhouette is something interesting for us. Playing with proportions and sportswear tailoring is something that we live by which you saw in the introduction of more deconstructed garments, more than we have ever done so that was an exciting cue point for us.
